The exhibition was prepared to summarize a photo competition. Its theme was image of Warsaw at the verge of new millennium. The competition received over 1500 works, and the panel selected 500 to be exhibited. Photographs arranged by their themes were displayed in an exclusively prepared scenography in the halls of the Zachęta gallery. Selected photographs, enlarged to considerable dimensions, were the pieces around which the exhibition was arranged.
